Safety & Guidelines at our Annual Conference
In-Person Decision Making
ADFM's leadership team took many factors into consideration during deliberations on whether to spend another year virtually or whether it was safe enough to proceed in-person. Here are a list of the considerations:
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Postponement of Annual Conference
- Epidemiologic modeling conducted by Epistemix*
- Member preference (70% majority for in-person)
- Financial impact of various scenarios
- The safety practices of the conference venue
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
* The Epistemix model shows that given the level of vaccination and natural COVID immunity that should be in place in Denver by February, along with case count trends and seasonality, there is virtually no scenario in which we would expect a case of COVID from our conference (the model factors in breakthrough cases; it does not yet factor in boosters, child vaccinations or new treatments.
Requirements for Attendance
To preserve the safety of our members and be conscientious of those around us, the following is required to be in attendance for ADFM's 2022 Annual Conference
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Attestation to COVID-19 Vaccination & the Influenza Vaccination*
- Agreement to abide by masking regulations
- Being diligent and mindful of those around you
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
*Only legitimate medical conditions will exempt you from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. Those who are vaccinated are heavily recommended to bring their vaccination card, as many establishments require proof of vaccination to enter.
Conscious Efforts
While our epidemiological modeling shows a nearly nonexistent model for contracting COVID-19 at the conference, ADFM is diligent about the safety of all members and those around us. We are working to ensure that everyone will feel safe and comfortable at our event. We will be:
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Limiting meals/unmasked time together
- Creating optional identifiers for individual level of involvement in networking
- Hosting some virtual components
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
